​PGME Research

One of the main objectives of AKU is to promote research with emphasis on the quality of its output.  Research occupies a key position in all the University’s programmes.  This is equally true for PGME. As mandated by the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP), PGME trainees are involved in research activities to submit their dissertations.  This provides an opportunity to promote research culture among these trainees by channelizing the mandatory requirements in a more robust way. 

PGME trainees are encouraged to write research proposals.  Limited financial support is provided to the trainees for carrying out research projects.  Trainees are also provided limited financial support to present their research work in national and international conferences.  PGME Conference is organized each year where trainees get the opportunity to present their research work.
