Research Electives

Pre-clinical and clinical year medical students are provided opportunity to participate in research projects of faculty in the Department of Surgery. In past, students have been involved in literature review, study design, data collection and analysis. This has given them the opportunity to learn fundamentals of clinical and basic research under the guidance of faculty. Students have also presented their work at conferences and published in biomedical journals.
