Prevalence and Predictors of Pulmonary Tuberculosis and Treatment Outcome Under Dots in a Low-Income Neighborhood of Karachi (Juanita Hatcher)

This study is in collaboration with Mary Adelaide Leprosy Clinic in a low-income neighborhood of Malir, Karachi with the objectives to

• determine the prevalence and factors associated with TB with Emphasis on MDR-TB;
• characterize and type the MTB isolates from this area and
• evaluate treatment outcome of WHO recommended DOTS compared to self-supervised treatment approach.
