Dr Bisma Imran

Dr Bisma Imran did her graduation from Ayub Medical College Abbotabad in 2004. She completed her
internship in Medicine and Surgery from Fauji Foundation Hospital Rawalpindi in 2005. Later, she worked as a Medical officer in the hospital, where she mostly worked with its outreach services and the mobile dispensary, providing primary health care services to the communities in the outer skirts of Rawalpindi district. From there on, she developed her interest in public health. She joined the MSc HPM at AKU in 2009 and aspires to to specialize in health policy and management disciplines, particularly pertaining to the Mother and Child health.

Dr Shirin MIrza
Best Student (2008 to date)
Dr Shirin graduated from Rawalpindi Medical College affiliated to the University of Health Sciences, Lahore in 2007. Even before graduation, she got involved in a research project with the patients who suffered spinal cord injuries in the earthquake disaster of 2005 in Pakistan. She attended in national and international research conferences and therefore developed her interest in pursue her further studies in Epidemiology and Biostatistics. She is a promising 1st year student who wants to make a difference in the life of people of our country through the miraculous field of medicine.
