Introduction
Health System in Pakistan continues to suffer from deficient governance, weak management and inadequate resource allocations. Major issues related to health system are urban rural mal-distribution of facilities and human resources, gender discrepancies, bulk of the resources going towards tertiary care, inappropriate planning of human resources, ineffective management, lack of community participation and accountability, questionable quality of care, inadequate accessibility to health care etc.
Since Department of Community Health Sciences has the mandate of teaching, training, research and service in health systems, Health Systems Division (HSD) envisions to contribute in training health and social development personnel in health systems management and administration to foster leadership in health care.
