Our aim is to nucleate and support interdisciplinary research programmes bridging environmental analysis with human health.

Existing research areas and capacity:

• Air quality (ambient air, indoor air, smoking and ETS)
• Chronic lead poisoning
• Water pollution including Arsenic in underground water
• Knowledge, attitude and practices regarding pesticide use among farmers of district Khairpur, Sindh, Pakistan
• Musculoskeletal disorders among workers (ergonomics)
• Medical waste management and needle stick injuries/infections
• Food safety (Mercury levels in fishes)
• Injuries
• Disaster/Emergency preparedness and response
• Geographical Information System (GIS) and its application
