Our aim is to nucleate and support interdisciplinary research programmes bridging environmental analysis with human health.
Existing research areas and capacity:
- Air quality (ambient air, indoor air, smoking and ETS)
- Chronic lead poisoning
- Water pollution including Arsenic in underground water
- Knowledge, attitude and practices regarding pesticide use among farmers of district Khairpur, Sindh, Pakistan
- Musculoskeletal disorders among workers (ergonomics)
- Medical waste management and needle stick injuries/infections
- Food safety (Mercury levels in fishes)
- Injuries
- Disaster/Emergency preparedness and response
- Geographical Information System (GIS) and its application
