The use of information and communication technology in health care practice is termed as eHealth. The main purpose of eHealth in developing countries is to improve access to health care services, and enhance the quality of care by making patient data and other relevant information available to the health care providers at the point of care.
Aga Khan University has taken several initiatives to evaluate eHealth solutions at Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi and at community settings. These projects aim to generate evidence through methodologically sound research; the results generated can be used to advocate policies on eHealth policies in developing countries.
