Master of Health Professions Education Announces First Graduate

Dr Tabassum Zehra was awarded the degree of Master of Health Professions Education, at Aga Khan University’s Convocation held on December 19, 2013, in Karachi. She has the honor of being the first ever graduate of the Master of Health Professions Education programme, offered by the University’s Department for Educational Development (DED).
Dr Tabassum is currently working as a Senior Instructor/Education Coordinator, with the DED and Department of Medicine at AKU. She has more than nine years of practical experience in Health Professions Education from her association with AKU and the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Pakistan. She has been highly instrumental in University initiatives from the DED platform and has represented the department as an educational resource at a number of University forums. She has shown an aptitude towards research and has also achieved the Best Poster Presentation Award at the Departmental Research Day in 2009. Dr Tabassum also has a number of publications in indexed international and national journals to her name.
