Dr Farhan Vakani: First non-American Certified CME Professional (CCMEPTM)

Dr Farhan Vakani, Assistant Manager in AKU’s Department of Continuing Professional Education, has successfully acquired the status of a Certified CME Professional (CCMEP TM), by passing a highly competitive competency-based examination. This standardized certification programme in the field of Continuing Medical Education, is US-based and validated.
Dr Vakani’s name will appear on the National Registry of Certified CME Professionals at www.NC-CME.org. He is honoured as being the first non-American to be certified in the Asian-Pan Pacific region for these credentials. In May of this year, Dr Vakani will also begin his experiential learning at the University of California, Davis and Vanderbilt University, Tennessee, US under the Hubert Humphrey Fellowship Award.
CCMEPTM credentialing is a unique and significant examination of the National Commission for Certification of CME Professionals (NC-CME), Inc., a nonprofit organization incorporated in 2006 in the state of New Mexico and is a 501(c) (3) tax exempt organization with offices at 2522 69th Street, Lubbock, TX 79413-6314NC-CME.
