With a Bachelor of Science from the Aga Khan University, School of Nursing, Qurratulain comes to AKU-ISMC from Pakistan. She has been working at the Aga Khan University Hospital for a year as a registered nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit. Qurratulain has gone beyond her professional interests to pursue academic readings about anthropology, religious studies and sociology. She was awarded a distinction in majors of Muslim civilisations, a course offered through an Advanced Religious Education Professional Programme. She has undertaken service with, among others, social welfare boards, junior guides and religious education centres. Qurratulain is fluent in Urdu, English and Gujarati and has a special talent for painting and poster art. Her hobbies include listening to music and walking.
