Our Alumni

Alumni are defined as ‘those who have obtained a diploma, postgraduate certificate, or a degree of Aga Khan University”.

Since the passing out of first batch of our graduates, i.e. MEd Cohort 1995, the institute has graduated 5 PhD scholars and 513 MEd graduates.

Our alumni maintain communication with AKU-IED and participate in its programmes and dissemination activities.

A number of tracking studies have been conducted on the role of our MEd graduates, also known as Professional Development Teachers. Studies show that these individuals have been making a significant difference in their educational contexts and improving educational systems across the country and in several developing countries.
