Its federal and provincial governments have been particularly encouraging of AKU-IED's various initiatives to improve teaching practices at a grass-roots level, organise policy discussions and conduct research.
Faculty development is crucial to ensuring a strong future for the Institute. Faculty members are encouraged to participate in academic and planning committees, joint programmes and research with other institutions, and national and international conferences to disseminate knowledge.
