Dr Alan DeYoung joins as new director of AKU-IED, Pakistan

Dr Alan DeYoung joined as Director of AKU-IED, Pakistan in February 2013. He holds a PhD in Anthropological and Sociological Studies in Education and an MA in Child Development from Stanford University.
Prior to joining AKU-IED, Dr DeYoung served as Professor and Chair of the Department of Educational Policy Studies and Evaluation at University of Kentucky, where he was a faculty member for more than 30 years.
He also held an adjunct appointment in the Department of Sociology, and served as a faculty associate in both the University of Kentucky's Asia Center and the Appalachian Center. In addition, he has been a visiting lecturer at University of Auckland, University of Rome, and Kyrgyz International University.
Dr DeYoung has a large number of education related publications to his credit.
