Essential Characteristics
Participant learning hours are spread out to enable an important characteristic of these programmes - their field focus.
There is recognition that the process of bringing about lasting educational change and innovation is difficult.
Thus, it requires not only the introduction of new knowledge and skills in the University setting but also practice in the real settings of classrooms and schools (with opportunity for feedback on performance).
Courses will include a combination of face-to-face University-based components together with school-based activities and assessment.

Certificate courses run over a period of six months including two, three-week, face-to-face components together with school-based activities and assessment.
