International Visiting Students and Interns

Simon Karuku   a doctoral student at the Faculty of Education University of Alberta Canada completed a nine month internship at IED EA in March 2012.  Simon’s internship was funded by the AKU Internship Program.

Student for Development Award 2012-14

IED EA and Faculty of Education University of Alberta won the Student for Development Award funded by the Association of Universities and Colleges Canada.

Veronica Sarungi a Tanzania student in the masters class of 2012 visited UoA for a period of one term. Sep –Dec 2012

Sospeter Kamunyila a Tanzania student in the masters class of 2012 visited to UoA for a period of one term. Sep-Dec 2012

Masters Dissertation Grants

Sospeter Kamunyila and Shakila Mkwazu masters students in the class of 2012 won the competitive grant for dissertation research under the Tanzania Partnership Project, a collaboration led by the Michigan State University, USA and the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and AKF East Africa.
