Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH)
These disciplines will be deeply integrated, and focus on fundamental human issues as well as their application.
There are four main degree concentrations under SSH:
- Foundations of Social Thought where students will reflect on and create knowledge about our social world.
- Critical and Interpretive Studies where students will question, critique and innovate social phenomena and texts.
- Creative and Applied Social Sciences where students will analyse, develop and organise informed ethical social transformation.
- Global East Africa where students will track, map, respond to and participate in global change from an East African perspective.
Students in Social Sciences and Humanities will do hand-on, practical, experimental, original research that they will present at the end of year four as a capstone project.
