Reslience and Innovation in the Face of Change

As an academic planning entity, we want to build programmes and curricula that are relevant to the communities in which our future students will live and work.

The future success of communities across East Africa lies in their ability to be resilient and innovative in the face of environmental, political and social changes.

Through a series of community engagement projects, FAS, East Africa will interact with communities around Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi. Our goal is to understand the best way for this university to serve the population; directly and through partnerships.

The relationships we are building now will help to develop programmes that address the needs of the community as a means to ensure that communities are less vulnerable, more adaptable to change, and more resilient to shocks.

When our doors open, our students will be taught how to listen and respond to these communities.

Our findings will be integrated directly into the FAS EA curricula, so that our students will be taught how to listen and respond to these communities.
