Project Description   JCIA is a multi-pronged project to inject Patient Safety and Clinical Quality Improvement systems into AKUH, Nairobi. The intern will be involved in numerous activities from doing research to find international best practice standards to coordinating training.
Responsibilities  
  • Research on International best practice standards
  • Coordinator of some of JCIA activities
  • Report writing
  • Data input and analysis
  • Create policies and procedures
Eligibility  
  • Enrollment in a Bachelor's or a Master's programme in the field of Health Policy, Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Health Science, Health Informatics, Health Studies or any related field
  • Strong analytical ability and business acumen
  • Strong computer skills e.g. MS Office is essential
  • Strong interpersonal skills
Benefits  

The selected intern will be provided with furnished accommodation as well as a living stipend to cover minimal daily expenses. All visa processing costs will also be covered.

Please note that air travel is not covered by AKU, the students should have a minimum access to savings for the duration of this internship.
