Project Description   The Clinical Trials and Research Division is in the early stages of its establishment at AKU. Therefore, there are many processes and systems that need to be established in order to set up and successfully operate the services. Intern will play an integral role in assisting in the development of standard operating procedures for assigned areas of clinical research.
Responsibilities   The incumbent will be responsible for:
  • Assisting in the development of sections of a standard operating procedure manual;
  • Recommending and assisting in refining operation logistics and clinic processes;
  • Assist in implementation and training of approved IT systems and processes;
  • Assist in evaluating quality assurance and user compliance of systems and processes;
  • Other duties as assigned.
Eligibility  
  • Enrolment in a Bachelor's or a Master's programme with a concentration in Business, Management, and Information Systems.
  • Business startup experience an asset;
  • Database and information systems knowledge is preferred;
  • Flexible/adaptable to circumstance and self driven.
Expected Project Outcome   To assist in the development, implementation and training of standard operating procedures of Clinical Research Division.
Benefits  

The selected intern will be provided with furnished accommodations as well as a living stipend to cover minimal daily expenses. All visa processing costs will also be covered.

Please note that air travel is not covered by AKU, the students should have a minimum access to savings for the duration of this internship.
