​Assistant Professor or Senior Instructor

Introduction

​Aga Khan University, chartered in 1983 as Pakistan's first private international university, is committed to the provision of education, research and health care of international standard relevant to Pakistan and the region. The affiliated Aga Khan University Hospital has well-equipped investigative services and provides state-of-the-art clinical facilities.

The Department of Emergency Medicine handles a wide range of adult and pediatric emergencies including acute medical, surgical, trauma, gynecological, psychiatric emergencies and is the only department in Pakistan offering a four-year residency training programme. The Department being sensitive to the needs of the community has developed Pediatric Emergency Department, as a separate entity and is also venturing the concept of “Urgent Care Services-UCS” bringing Emergency Medical care to the door step of the community.

Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of ​Assistant Professor or Senior Instructor.
Responsibilities

​The appointee will have an independent consultant status and undertake undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research and specified administrative activities.

Requirements

​Candidates must have completed a structured postgraduate training and possess FCPS, MRCP, FCEM, American Board or equivalent qualifications. Applicants for Assistant Professor should have at least three years of experience, while those for Senior Instructor require at least two years experience in a reputable institution. In addition, they should have demonstrated scholarship through research, publications and/or contribution to education.
