AKU FACULTY/STAFF/VOLUNTEERS
BADMINTON 2006
The Faculty & Staff Sports and Recreation Committee & The Sports and
Rehabilitation Centre organized the Badminton Tournament 2006
for all Faculty/Staff (their Dependents) and Volunteers of the
University. A keen and enthusiastic participation was received
with 60 participants in the Men's Singles and 16 participants
in the Women's Singles categories. The other categories had 20
teams for Men's Doubles, 8 teams for Women's Doubles, 10 teams
for Mixed Doubles, 10 participants for Veterans and 8 for the
Children.

After a
three week long event, the finals were conducted at the Sports
Centre Gymnasium on Friday 11th August, 2006. Mr. Nurallah
Merchant, Director General, University Administration was the
Chief Guest at the occasion.

Some most
thrilling display of matches was seen throughout the Tournament
and appreciated by the spectators. Amna Imtiaz (Design Office)
won all the 3 titles for the Women's category and Salahuddin (Food
Services) won two titles for the Men's category.
