3rd AKU Sports Centre Summer Cricket Coaching Camp 2006 Concluded

Former Opening Batsman Pakistan Cricket Team Sadiq Muhammad and Chief Coach, Pakistan Cricket Board Regional Academy, Karachi appreciated the efforts of AKU Sports Centre for conducting special Cricket Coaching Camps for young talents at grass root level. Expressing his views at the closing ceremony of 3rd Summer Cricket Coaching Camp 2006 as a Chief Guest organized by the AKU Sports Centre, Sadiq Muhammad advised the young cricketers that with the coaching they had received from such great experienced coaches, they should work-hard and regularly keep in practice and learn more and more by this great facility. He emphasized that with hard work, may in future some youngsters amongst the group could prove to be just like the legendary Cricketers like Hanif Muhammad, Mushtaq Muhammad, Imran Khan, Wasim Akram, Inzamam ul Haq, Shahid Afridi. He also appreciated the efforts of the cricket coaches Sr. Veteran Tahir Hasan Chief Coach, Atiq-ur-Rehman (International Player) and Tahir Rasheed (First Class Cricketer) for rendering their services and coaching the youngsters. Hanif Shariff, Sr. Manager Administrative Services AKU, officially thanked the Chief Guest Sadiq Muhammad and Guest of Honour Khurshid Ahmed, CEO Larosh for their kind presence. Later Sadiq Muhammad gave some important tips regarding batting and bowling and guidance regarding safety. At the end of the ceremony, Chief Guest Sadiq Muhammad and Guest of Honour Khurshid Ahmad distributed prizes and certificates to the participants of Cricket Summer Coaching Camp held in the months of June and July 2006.

The 3rd AKU Sports Centre Summer Cricket Coaching Camp attracted more then 75 young cricket lovers (boys) between the age group of 7 to 19 years. The camp was held three days a week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. during the months of June and July, 2006. Former Captain Pakistan Cricket Team Mushtaq Muhammad inaugurated the camp on Tuesday, June 6th, 2006.
