Commissioning of the First Phase of the Sports Centre

To mark the commissioning of the first phase of the Sports Centre, a cricket match was held on 13 December, 1998. The match was played between the Rector’s XI, a team of faculty and students and the President’s XI, consisting of staff and volunteers. Former Pakistani Captain, Mr. Zaheer Abbas was the Chief Guest. The Phase I was completed on schedule, and the areas commissioned include the cricket and football fields, tennis and volleyball courts and the jogging track. The match was won by the President’s XI.
