Payette Associates
Payette Associates, founded in 1932 as Markus and Nocka, has grown steadily over the years. It has earned recognition as a specialist in the programming, planning, and design of highly technical buildings.

The firm was officially renamed Payette Associates Inc., in 1974, following the retirement of the founding partners, and it has upheld the tradition of innovation, enlarged the firm's scope of operations and expanded its client base throughout the United States and abroad. Payette has master planned and designed many universities, hospitals, sports facilities and research facilities, some of which have won design awards. These include facilities at Harvard University, Duke University and Johns Hopkins University. Payette was the lead architect of Aga Khan University Medical Centre and designed the entire campus in association with Bhamani Associates of Karachi and Mozhan Khadem of Iran. Today, the architects and designers of Payette Associates continue the tradition of spirited innovation with creativity and technical precision of sophisticated, state-of-the-art academic, health care, sports and research facilities.Payette was associated with William Merci Architect, a specialist in sports facilities, in the planning and design stages for the AKU Sports and Rehabilitation Centre. The architectural design was developed into construction drawings by a local architect in Pakistan. This design was  overviewed by Payette Associates, William Merci and AKU's in-house design team who ensured that the institutional building design idiom and philosophy were  met.

AHED Associates
AHED Associates, established in 1964, offer complete design services in architecture, engineering, planning and interior design. The firm has designed projects throughout Pakistan ranging from commercial, industrial, educational and hospital buildings to large housing complexes and recreational facilities.The partners of AHED Associates have academic backgrounds and diverse experience in Pakistan and abroad. They are registered with the Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners, the Institute of Architects, Pakistan, the Royal Institute of British Architects, Pakistan Engineering Council, Engineering Council, UK, and Institution of Civil Engineers, UK. AHED Associates' main office is located in Karachi, Pakistan and all civil engineering and interior design services are carried out here. Some major projects include the State Bank of Pakistan Building in Islamabad that also housed the National Assembly and Senate for 17 years, and the award-winning Agricultural University at Peshawar, designed in association with Skidmore Owings and Merrill of USA. The firm has carried out the complete engineering and interior design for the 16-storey Pakistan Insurance Corporation (PIC) Towers in Karachi and the 19-storey Habib Bank Building in Islamabad. In addition, AHED Associates have designed large interior office spaces for Citibank, Credit Agricole Indosuez Bank and DuPont Pakistan in Karachi.

The firm carried out detailed design work for Aga Khan University Sports and Rehabilitation Centre.
