Alumni​

The University's alumni community is made up of members who graduated from programmes in Pakistan, East Africa and the UK.  Our numbers are growing rapidly and whether you belong to the Medical College Class of 1988 or have just graduated from ISMC, you’re always a part of AKU.

Pakistan suffers from all of the three common forms of malnutrition
Of the three common forms of malnutrition - under-five stunting, anaemia among women during the child bearing years and adult overweight - Pakistan is among the countries that suffer from the first two and are also beginning to encounter the problem of adult obesity and related problems.


Global Nutrition Report finds economic growth not enough to combat malnutrition
Almost every country in the world, rich or poor, faces a serious public health risk due to malnutrition, either from undernutrition, obesity or micronutrient deficiencies, revealed the Global Nutrition Report. Authors included Dr Zulfiqar Bhutta of Aga Khan University.
