Diploma in Dental Hygiene 

The Diploma in Dental Hygiene (DDH) is a two-year programme. This field of study is well-established in developed countries and is gaining much momentum in developing countries, particularly considering the high rates of oral diseases. 

The programme combines classroom and clinical coursework necessary to become a dental hygienist. It includes courses in liberal arts, basic sciences and clinical sciences. for details, please refer to the programme information booklet.

The University encourages young men and women who enjoy working with people, have good interpersonal skills and are interested in helping others prevent oral diseases so as to maintain good health, to apply and make a career as a dental hygienist​.

For admission cycle 2016-2017, the applications for admission will be accepted from March 14 until May 16, 2016. Applications received after closing date will not be processed. 

Career Opportunities

Dental hygienists will have opportunities to work in a variety of settings including hospitals, educational institutions, public health clinics and private dental clinics.

DDH graduates can use their diploma to pursue undergraduate studies in area like education, research, office management and business administration as career options. For details, please refer to the programme information booklet​.

Academic Requirements for Eligibility

  • Candidates who have achieved a minimum overall aggregate of 50% or equivalent in their Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) in pre-medical examinations may apply.
  • Candidates who have completed two years in college, an undergraduate or graduate degree, must have achieved an overall aggregate of 50% or equivalent in their HSSC pre-medical examination. 
Equivalence Certificate

Candidates following education systems other than Pakistani Higher Secondary School Certificate (pre-medical group) must obtain an equivalence certificate from the Inter Board Committee of Chairman (IBCC). The IBCC may be contacted on the following addresses:
