How to Apply
Candidates wishing to apply for
the MA in Muslim Culturesmust provide the following:
• A
completed application form. (You will find this inserted inthis prospectus, or
you can download the form [LINK: www.aku.edu/ismc])
• A
personal statement, outlining your reasons for wishing toenrol in the programme.
• An
official attested copy of your undergraduate degree andacademic transcripts.
(If a document is not in English, afully certified translation by a
professional translator mustbe provided. The translation must include details
of thetranslator and confirm that it is an accurate translation of theoriginal.
It must be dated and include the original signatureof the translator.)
• A
valid proof of English proficiency.
• Two
references, submitted either directly to the Registrar'soffice or along with
the application in a sealed envelopewith the referee's signature across the
seal. Referees mustbe familiar with your academic and/or professional workto
date. At least one referee should be familiar with youracademic work. If your
referees would like to submit thereference letter via email, please download
the referenceform, complete the details and request your referees to sendit
directly to the Registrar's office atismc.registraroffice@aku.edu
