PhD in Education

In October 2004, Aga Khan University Institute for Educational Development (AKU-IED) commenced its full time doctoral (PhD) programme with support from its partner universities. The aim of the programme is to produce high quality educational leaders who are able to conduct research in the context of the developing world with a focus on development education, curriculum, teaching, learning and educational leadership. The PhD in Education comprises course work, skill development and research work leading to the submission and defense of a thesis and, if accepted, a PhD degree.​
