Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and two years of teaching experience will be considered for the programme, but preference will be given to candidates with a Master’s degree and some teaching experience.
Application for admission must be on the prescribed application form, along with the following supporting documents.
A complete set of attested official transcripts of academic record in graduate school/college, and/or professional schools, with certificate of degrees conferred, courses taken, and grades with course percentages received.
Attested certificate of work experience as English Language teacher.
No Objection Certificate
Applicants from the public sector must submit application through proper channel and get a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective District Education department to appear for the written test, interview and for studying at AKU-IED.
Successful candidates are required to pay a component of the fee on acceptance to the programme. The schedule of tuition and other charges for the 2012-13 academic year will be provided separately.
The completed application form with all requirements should be posted by registered mail, or through a reliable courier service or delivered in person to the Office of the Registrar, AKU-IED from Monday through Friday, 10:00 am–12:00 pm or 2:00–4:00 pm.
