IED Professional Development Centre, Gilgit Library
Professional Development Centre Northern Areas (PDCN) Library is the first educational automated library of northern areas of Pakistan that is providing excellent services and facilities to fulfill the information needs of its clients. The library is a central part of PDCN. It provides resources to support the institute's professional programmes and selectively open to others. The library provides the facility of mobile library service to Whole School Improvement Programmes (WSIP) schools for teachers and students. The library provides range of resources in print and electronic form.

It has 18,000 books, selective thesis and subscribed journals with full-text access. A collection of reference books, audio-video cassettes, CDs/DVDs and internal online digital system is also available in this library.

The library has six computers with internet facility. The circulation system is also computerised for efficient transactions of library materials.
