Q: How do I become a member of the AKU Library?
A: You will become the member of the library, once your name is sent to the library from Student Affairs (for students) or from Human Resource Officer (for faculty and staff).
Q: What do I do if I want to do photocopying/printing within the library?
A: Request to be directed to the room where photocopying and printing services are available.
Q: How Many books can I borrow?
A: Two books at a time.
Q: How many times can I renew a book?
A: No limit as long as the item has no reservation.
Q: Can I borrow the audio/visual material and use them outside the library?
A: Yes, but on campus only.
Q: How long can I keep a borrowed book?
A: Seven days.
Q: When is the Library open?

Q: How much does one pay for overdue books/items?
A: UGX 500 per day.
Q: What should I do if I loose my Library Card?
A: Approach the librarian for a new one to be prepared for you.
Q: Which databases is the library subscribed to?
A: HINARI, OARE and PERI resources.
Q: Can I access the databases outside the library?
A: No, you can only access these databases using the campus network.
Q: Can I continue using the library after I graduate?
A: Yes, but you would not be able to borrow any item.
