​Submission Guidelines

​Following are guidelines for the conference presentations.

Paper presentations

  • Allocated time for each presentation is 40 minutes, including 20 minutes for presentation and 20 minutes for discussion.
  • Abstracts of about 350 words, including author/s name and organisation must be submitted latest by September 14, 2012.
  • Abstracts will be reviewed by the Programme Committee and acceptances will be notified latest by September 21, 2012.
  • Papers can be co-authored; however communication will be with the first author.
  • Name of the presenting author/s should be underlined.
  • Full papers to be submitted latest by October 10, 2012. 
  • Each session will be chaired by an appointed chairperson.

Panel Discussion and Roundtable Discussions

  • Each panel discussion session or roundtable discussion must have a convener. 
  • The convener must submit a one page abstract of about 350 words giving an overview of the whole session as well as names and institutions of the panelists. 
  • The abstract for a panel discussion or roundtable discussion should be submitted latest by September 14, 2012.
  • Abstracts will be reviewed by the Programme Committee and acceptance notified latest by September 21, 2012.
  • Each panel or roundtable session will get 60 minutes.
  • Each panel discussion is to have a panel of no more than 4 members. Panelists will make brief introductory remarks of 10 minutes each. The rest of the time would be devoted to discussion among the panelists and the audience. 
  • Each roundtable discussion would accommodate roughly 8-10 interested participants.

Poster Presentations

  • One-page abstract of about 350 words should be submitted latest by September 14, 2012.
  • The abstract must provide a brief overview of the work being shown and include the author’s name and organisation.
  • It is recommended that displays do not exceed 1.5m in length.
  • Posters can be put up from 8:00 am on October 31, 2012.
  • Posters should be removed before 6:00 pm on November 3, 2012. Organisers will not be responsible for any posters left after this time.

Symposia

  • Each symposia will be of 60 minutes.
  • Each symposium must have a convener.
  • The convener must submit a one page abstract of about 350 words giving an overview of the whole session as well as names and institutions of the panelists.
  • The abstract for a symposium should be submitted latest by September 14, 2012.
  • Abstracts will be reviewed by the Programme Committee and acceptance notified latest by September 21, 2012.
  • Each symposium will have a panel of no more than four members.
  • Panelists will make brief introductory remarks of 10 minutes each.
  • The rest of the time would be devoted to discussion among the panelists and the audience. 

Alternate Presentations

  • A laptop and accompanying projector will be provided in each room. However, the contributors of this category must send special requests for any additional technological assistance, facilities, or equipment required. 
  • The contributor must submit an abstract of about 350 words by September 14, 2012. 
  • 40 minutes will allotted for each presentations, including 20 minutes for presentation/session and 20 minutes for discussion.
