| | Details | The French Medical Institute for Children (FMIC) announces Second FMIC International Paediatrics Conference on December 1-2, 2012 at Kabul Serena Hotel, Kabul Afghanistan. The conference offers a unique forum for health care providers in Afghanistan to learn about current paediatric care, new and innovative techniques in paediatrics care and current issues of child health in Afghanistan.

French Medical Institute for Children invites Call for Abstracts for Second FMIC International Paediatrics Conference from local, regional and international presenters from hospitals, universities, research institutes and the industry on the following theme and sub themes:
Theme: From Paediatric Care to Child Health
Sub themes:
1. Paediatrics surgery 2. Paediatrics medicine 3. Paediatrics and child health in primary care settings 4. Neonatal care 5. Research in paediatrics and child health 6. Support of diagnostics in paediatrics and child health 7. Paediatrics in extremis-coping with disaster and emergency 8. Mental health
All abstracts should be submitted by July 31, 2012 at: abstracts.conf@fmic.org.af

Registration Prior registration is mandatory for the conference. There is no registration fee. All international participants should cater for their boarding and lodging.
All oral and poster presenters and participants (who had already registered) are requested to reconfirm their participation by Sunday, October 21, 2012.

FMIC is the first international, philanthropic, public-private, not-for-profit health institution in Kabul, Afghanistan. It was established in 2005 by Enfants Afghans - project of La Châine de L’Espoir, a French NGO. As a four party unique public-private partnership between the Governments of Afghanistan and France, a French NGO - La Chaine de L’Espoir and the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) through The Aga Khan University Hospital Karachi (AKUH, Karachi), FMIC was inaugurated on April 8, 2006. The Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) based in Karachi is responsible for managing the hospital and provides key fulltime hospital management staff and rotational technical and support staff as required.
