Dr Keith Cash holds a PhD in Nursing from the University of Manchester. Before embarking on university study, Dr Cash completed clinical training and practiced as a nurse for a number of years in the United Kingdom. He has had a distinguished career as a university teacher and researcher, holding posts at Canada, The UK and Lebanon. He also has worked as a consultant on nursing-related projects in Damascus, Syria for approximately five years. Dr Cash has regularly been involved in university administrative committees and been active on editorial boards and professional associations over the course of his career.
Keith Cash’s research in a variety of health and clinical domains has been supported by the United Kingdom and international agencies. He has presented his research regularly at international scholarly conferences and has published widely on clinical and educational nursing issues.
Dr Keith Cash brings a distinguished record of nursing practice, teaching and scholarship to the post of Dean of the AKU School of Nursing and Midwifery, Pakistan. This record, in combination with his experience in developing and implementing nursing programs in the Middle East, give him a solid basis for leading AKU-SONAM, P as it builds on its already impressive record of leadership in nursing education, research and practice.
