Regional CEO, Health Services, Asia
The Regional CEO, Health Services, Asia (AKUH, Pakistan and FMIC, Afghanistan) is responsible to ensure that the health care operating units of the University in Pakistan and Afghanistan, i.e. Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi and the French Medical Institute for Children in Afghanistan are working effectively and efficiently in line with the agreed mission, goals and strategies; and ensure cohesion between the academic and service missions of the operating units. The Regional CEO is also responsible to ensure an AKU culture that fosters learning, quality, relevance and impact, and promotes access.
Mr Nadeem Mustafa Khan did his BA from Peshawar University where he secured a Gold Medal for obtaining first position in the University. Later, he did his BSc (Econ) Honours degree from the London School of Economics. He joined Price Waterhouse & Co, a renowned firm of Chartered Accountants, in 1974 and became a Chartered Accountant in 1977. He is currently a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Mr Khan has been working at Aga Khan University in various financial and operational positions since January 1981. His last assignment was as Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the University Hospital in Karachi until he took over his current assignment in January 2007.
