Director General, Resource Development
The Director General, Resource Development is responsible for expanding the University's resource development base and donations. He is responsible for managing relationships with donors globally as well as supervising interactions with AKU Resource Development Committees worldwide. He oversees the resource development staff and volunteer mainstream committees in Pakistan, Kenya, UAE, Canada, France and UK.
Zahir Janmohamed obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from Wilfrid Laurier University in Canada, and has completed courses from Euromoney Institute of Finance and Harvard Law School. He has over 25 years of experience within the financial and non-profit sectors. Amongst his various voluntary leadership experiences, he served on the board of the Scarborough Hospital in Canada, as well as a trustee of the United Way of Greater Houston and The Post Oak School in Texas.
Prior to joining AKU, Mr Janmohamed served as Chief Executive Officer of His Highness Prince Aga Khan Shia Imami Ismaili Council for USA, where he managed the institutions and activities of the community in the United States, Australia and New Zealand. Before his association with the Council, he directed business operations in Canada and Argentina for a global financial institution and brokerage firm based in Toronto.
