Call for medical and nursing professionals generates positive response
September 3, 2010
Over the weekend, AKU made a public appeal for assistance with its flood relief response in Dawn, Jang and Kawish – the English, Urdu and Sindhi press. The request received a strong response, netting almost 500 applicants, half of whom were doctors and nurses or midwives, and half allied health professionals. Selected applicants will be provided primary care training before being sent out in the field along with AKU’s relief teams, enabling the University to extend its assistance to other areas.
