Course on 'Science of Early Childhood Development'

Continuing Professional Education Course

A blended learning course which will provide students an opportunity to learn and appreciate the dynamic process of human development from the time of conception to eight years of life. It is a uniquely designed course that looks to study content through a collaborative learning process with participants getting a chance to work with students from both East Africa and Canada. It will help you to:

- explore the process of early human development holistically, considering different aspects of life including developmental health, ecology of childhood and the role of early life experiences in life-long human development;

- enhance your knowledge regarding brain development and its importance in early years;

- learn different ways to enhance coping and competence, communication and learning abilities among children during the early years of life; and

- develop understanding of active learning approaches to effectively implement in the ECE classroom.
