Paediatric Emergency Care

A Blending Learning CME Course

This course which is a blend of online and face-to-face learning components would cover the basic topics of international curriculum of Paediatric Emergency Medicine based on local needs. It will also provide you an opportunity to practice and learn hands-on skill on common lifesaving procedures for critically ill and injured children. It will help you to:

  • Apply the PALS/NRP guidelines to identify the Paediatric patients with life threatening emergencies
  • Differentiate the children presenting with different types of shock and respiratory emergencies
  • Learn and practice the basic skills as CPR, Neonatal resuscitation, Defibrillation, rhythms analysis and intraosseous insertion
  • Evaluate the children presenting with Polytrauma, Convulsions, Rashes and Ingestions along with knowledge of its management

Technical Requirements:

  • Have computer/ laptop with Internet connection
  • Basic computer skills, Internet browsing, Microsoft Word knowledge
  • Webcam and microphone headset available
