ABOUT THE DIALOGUE
María José Lemaitre will give her insights on the importance and impact of quality assurance in higher education. She will share innovations, trends and best practices on university quality enhancement, from her work in South and Central America, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia. You will have the opportunity to explore through the dialogue how internal quality assurance leads to faculty and student success and to discuss ideas for the direction of the AKU Network of Quality Assurance and Improvement (QAI_net). We look forward to your participation!
María José Lemaitre, sociologist with postgraduate studies in education, is currently Executive Director of CINDA, a network of universities in Latin America and Europe.
She is the immediate past president of the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE) and a member of the board of the Iberoamerican Network for Quality Assurance (RIACES). She serves on the Advisory Committee for the International Quality Group of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation of the United Sates (CHEA).
María José Lemaitre was in charge of the design and implementation of quality assurance processes in Chile between 1990 and 2007. She has published many articles and provided consultancy services to governmental agencies, higher education institutions and international organizations in South and Central America, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia.
