Membership is open to all AKU students, employees, alumni and volunteers. Honorary membership is granted to members of the AKU Board of Trustees.
Immediate family members (dependants) of employees and alumni are eligible for household membership. Those who chose not to avail household membership can use the facilities of the Centre by paying a per-visit fee. Children under six years are admitted for free.
Students, alumni and volunteers have to pay the membership fee in advance for the whole year.
Faculty and employees will pay a fee according to their grade and classification. The fee can be paid for the whole year in advance or in monthly instalments. Employees can request that the membership fee be deducted from their salary.

Temporary membership to the Walking Track is offered to those who do not study or work at AKU; however, this is only granted on the recommendation of a current AKU faculty member or employee.
Applicants should submit the complete membership form with two recent coloured passport size photographs, copy of an employee card, copy of CNIC or passports (for expatriates only) and NADRA B-Form or birth certificate (for children) to the receptionist of Sports and Rehabilitation Centre.

All employees, visiting faculty / students, volunteers, members' spouses, parents and unmarried siblings below 25 years of age who are not members, may use the facilities of the Sports Centre by paying Rs 150 per person per visit.
Members can bring guests, after introducing them to Sports Centre management, by paying Rs 500 per person per visit. Guests under 12 years and senior citizens will be charged Rs 250 per person per visit.
