Aga Khan University, East Africa is pleased to invite applications from East African nationals for the following Nairobi-based Postgraduate Medical Education programmes for 2009 admissions:

Master of Medicine (MMed) in: 

• Anaesthesiology
• Anatomic Pat hology (Histopathology, Cytopathology, Forensic Pat hology)
• Clinical Pat hology (Haematology, Chemical Pat hology, Microbiology)
• Imaging and Diagnostic Radiology
• Medicine
• Surgery
• Paediatrics and Child Health
• Obstetrics and Gynaecology

These are four-year approved residency programmes leading to an MMed Degree awarded by Aga Khan University. There are no fees applicable to these courses. These are salaried positions at the Senior House Officer Level with appropriate annual incremental changes.

Requirements
Applicants should hold an MBChB degree or equivalent and have satisfactorily completed a year of internship at an institution recognised by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists' Board (MP&DB) of Kenya. Accompanying documentation must include a letter of application supporting intention to enter the programme, detailed Curriculum Vitae, medical school transcripts, photocopies of degrees held, photocopy of Medical Practitioners and Dentists' Board License or temporary license where applicable and two colour passport-size photographs.

All applicants meeting the required criteria will be expected to present themselves to a selection process including interview boards in the respective specialties. Successful candidates will be expected to join the programmes on January 5, 2009.
