These residents and fellows have gone on to work in various parts of Pakistan and the world. Our graduates are working in anaesthesiology, surgery, medicine, radiology and other specialties in the US , UK , Europe, Australia , Saudi Arabia , the UAE and other countries world-wide. They have found these opportunities through their own hard work, talents and by capitalising on what they learnt at AKU.
Our graduates have also been proving an asset for the country, delivering high quality health care and education in cities and towns of Sindh, Punjab , NWFP, Balochistan and the Northern Areas. Their high caliber is recognised by their peers, patients and students. An idea of where these AKU's PGME graduates can be had by looking at the map.
Other validation of the quality and success of AKU's PGME programmes comes from the induction of a number of these graduates into AKU faculty itself. At present 40% of AKU Medical College faculty comprises of graduates of University's PGME programmes. Their number includes two professors, 13 associate professors and 52 assistant professors. In addition there are 26 senior instructors and 18 instructors.
