AKU–EB workshop to develop HSSC syllabus
Aga Khan University Examination Board (AKU–EB) held a six-day workshop in Karachi to develop AKU–EB's HSSC examinations syllabi, based on the National Curriculum 2002 and 2006. Professors and lecturers of affiliated HSSC colleges from Lahore, Rawalpindi Murree, Chakwal, Mianwali, Karachi, Hyderabad, Dharki, Gilgit, Hunza and Gahkuch participated in the workshop.
In this initiative, 120 faculty members including subject panelists and examiners along with AKU-EB's own subject officers worked in groups developing in 10 different subjects for classes XI and XII. The focus was on developing examination syllabi to meet future educational requirements within the parameters of national educational objectives.
The syllabi will provide guidelines setting out how to enhance the student's intellectual capacity and will include distinct learning features to promote comprehension and understanding. The Board hosted a dinner on Thursday to honour the contribution of participants.
