Research Ethics Certificate Course (April 3-30, 2008)
CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
Aga Khan University's (AKU) Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) is organising a four-week certificate course on Research Ethics , from April 3-30, 2008 in collaboration with Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health, USA. This course is funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Higher Education Commission, Government of Pakistan, National Academy of Sciences, USA and USAID through Pakistan - United States Science and Technology Cooperative Programme. The course is designed to help meet Pakistan's increasing need for training in Research Ethics.
Salient Features of the Workshop
Contemporary Bioethics, Philosophy (Islamic and Western) and Research Ethics.
Eligibility
Doctors, nurses and other professionals associated with health care, social scientists, health activists, journalists, lawyers and others who wish to develop an understanding of the research ethics are encouraged to apply.
Applications
Deadline for application forms submission is expired.
Selection process
- The executive committee will decide on successful candidates;
- The executive committee decision will be final;
- Selected candidates will be informed by Tuesday, March 11, 2008.
- Only selected candidates will be informed;
- Selected candidates will have funding available for registration, course material and boarding (reimbursement of return fair for air/train/bus travel from within Pakistan excluding Karachi )
