Aga Khan University (AKU) held its 20th Convocation ceremony on November 17, 2007, marking the graduation of 277 students in the fields of medicine, nursing and education. The chief guest was Dr Shamshad Akhtar, Governor, State Bank of Pakistan. The ceremony was attended by vice-chancellors, senior government officials, diplomats, national and international academicians, donors and prominent citizens.
Dr Yasmin Amarsi, Dean of AKU School of Nursing carried the University blazon this year.
Professor Camer Vellani was conferred the title of Distinguished University Professor Emeritus, and Professor Richard Pring was presented the 2007 University Award of Distinction. The Best Graduate Award was presented to Dr Faraz Ali Khan. More...
