A health awareness programme, 'Signs, Symptoms and Care' will be organized by
Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi (AKUH) to increase awareness
for early diagnosis and timely treatment of health problems at the
Intercontinental Hotel, Abu
Dhabi on Saturday, May 8, 2004 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM and Sheraton
Deira Hotel and Towers, Dubai on Sunday, May 9, 2004 from 7:00 PM to 9:00
PM.
Dr. Azam Ali, Consultant Ophthalmologist and Head
of Ophthalmology Section at AKUH will be giving a presentation on "Diabetic and other Eye Problems and their Latest Treatment".
Dr.
Ali did his MBBS, with honors, from Aga Khan University Karachi, FRCS from Glasgow, Edinburgh and
FRCOphth (UK). He got training from and Eye Hospital in London and specialized in Vitreo-Retina
from Moorfields Eye Hospital.
The programme will include a question and answer session in which participants
would be encouraged to ask questions.
