AKU Lamplighting Ceremony

 

To commemorate the 184th birthday of Florence Nightingale, Aga Khan University School of Nursing held its 23rd Lamplighting Ceremony at which 118 nurses from BScN and RN Diploma programmes took their pledge to honour the international code of nursing ethics, and to uphold the integrity of the professional nurse. The ceremony is held annually as a tribute to Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing.

The primary mission of Aga Khan School of Nursing is the development of quality nursing resources that are trained to respond to the unique needs of Pakistan as well as the developing world.
