In
an effort to minimise the extent of the health hazards caused by the oil spill,
Unilever Pakistan
with the support of Aga Khan University and Behbud Association took prompt action
and set up a medical camp in Shirin Jinnah Colony. The camp provided free consultation, treatment
and medication to health victims of the oil spill by eye, skin, ENT and other
specialists. In order to help residents adequately protect themselves from the
noxious fumes lingering in the air, free information on precautionary measures
was also made available at the camp.
