the facility, racing events for all age groups, a photograph display
of His Highness the Aga Khan's visit to Pakistan as well as of the construction
phases of the SRC, and a screening of the video of the SRC inauguration,
which was graciously performed by His Highness the Aga Khan. The guests
were also given a special briefing on the rehabilitation facilities
of the SRC, which are designed specifically with the needs of patients
suffering from problems such as cardiac conditions, obesity, diabetes,

Over 1,700 guests turned up and enthusiastically participated
in every event. To keep them entertained, flute bands from Sultanabad,
Darkhana, and Alyabad in their cheerful uniforms performed with regular
intervals. "Excellent arrangements", remarked several guests. The band's
performances kept everyone entertained till the end. The occasion was
also graced by donors from Hyderababd and overseas. "Now we know that
our money has been well spent ", was overheard from a donor from abroad.
The guests thoroughly enjoyed their lunch while relaxing
in the garden. Stalls, selling gift items and AKU souvenirs were also
put up and the proceedings from the sale were contributed to the Patient
Welfare Fund of the Hospital.
The day ended with a marathon on the jogging track
which was appreciated by the guests. Prizes were then given to the winners
of all the competitions. After spending a fun-filled day at the Centre,
the donors and their families left for home at dusk with a renewed sense
of accomplishment, vigor and zeal.
